Similar to 2016 and 2017 seasons, most of the matches of 2018 season will be played in UAE. However, some matches are planned to take place in Pakistan; they will be played in Lahore and Karachi, subject to security clearance. Each foreign cricketer who plays PSL matches in the country will be paid extra US$10,000 for each of these matches.

The International Cricket Council security team visited National Stadium, Karachi, on 23 October, to ensure its condition. So, chairman PCB Najam Sethi said on 22 November that the renovation of stadium will be completed in February 2018, to host PSL Final.

The tour is called Rahat Fateh Ali Just Qawali World Tour 2018 and performances are planned in America, Canada, UK, UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, Morocco, South Africa, Kenya, Nepal, Bangladesh and Pakistan and some more countries. Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan spoken to the media said:

"I am basically a Qawal and the poetry of the sufi's runs in my veins. Qawali is at the heart of our family traditions and my ancestors have worked hard to develop this genre of music and introduce it to the world. The world of Music has not seen a Qawal that is parallel to Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. He Glorified the art of Qawali and took the art to international audiences. Responding to another question Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan said that he has noticed that his Qawali's are appreciated more than Bollywood numbers in live concerts. Hence based on the preference of his fans, he has decided to celebrate 2018 as Year of the Qawali.

In December 2014, Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan performed a Qawali in Oslo at the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony which enhanced Pakistan's image in the international arena. Zaman was the architect at the start of the Pakistan innings with a sharp 46 before being dismissed in a debatable decision when Tom Bruce took a catch at ground level.

New Zealand managed to arrest Pakistan's brisk early run rate in the middle of the innings until Amin lashed out. His 21 came off the first five balls in an over from Ish Sodhi before the New Zealand spinner claimed the wicket off the final delivery. Haris Sohail chipped in with 20 off 12 balls while Aamer Yamin, replacing the injured Hasan Ali, faced six deliveries for his 15.

New Zealand struggled from the start of their reply to get near the required run rate of more than nine an over, and were in early trouble when Williamson was out for nine.

Martin Guptill attempted to bully the bowlers but it was primarily a lone stand. When he was removed for 59 off 43 balls in the 13th over, the required run rate had shot up to 13.57. Ross Taylor put the ball over the boundary fence three times in his 25 off 10 balls. But with his dismissal in the 17th over, New Zealand were 5-128 and their hopes of a miraculous comeback were over.

The Honorable Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mr. Mian Saqib Nisar banned the sale of packaged milk from four companies on Saturday 27-01-2018 while hearing a suo motu case pertaining to the sale of substandard packaged milk at the Karachi Registry.

The three-member bench of the apex court banned the four companies from selling and marketing their milk products with immediate effect after laboratory results failed to convince the bench of the quality of the milk supplied. Four Tetra Packaged Substandard Milk Sale Banned.

Four Tetra Packaged Substandard Milk Sale Banned. The chief justice issued the orders after laboratory results failed to convince the court about the quality of the milk supplied by these companies in the city. During the hearing, the chief justice remarked that these companies were selling tea whitener, not the milk.

During a previous hearing of the case earlier this month, the CJP had directed the relevant authorities to conduct laboratory tests of all brands of packaged milk products available in the city’s markets. The CJP is already hearing the matter of sale of unsafe milk in the Lahore Registry as part of its suo motu notice on public welfare issues.

Hearing the suo motu case of harmful effects of packaged milk at the SC’s Lahore Registry on January 6, the CJP had remarked that everyone is forced to consume cancer-infested milk, adding that all packaged milk is loaded with formalin which is a food preservative.

During the hearing, the bench, which includes Honorable Justice Ijazul Ahsan, banned the use of injections in cows to increase their milk production capacity.

The revelations revealed by the survey and the Supreme Court decision clearly shows that these companies are manipulating with the public and have failed to provide safe drinking water to the people of Pakistan.

Saudi Arabian Flynas SaudiGulf Launching Pakistan Operations. The airline is going to resume flights on Dammam-Lahore, Riyadh-Lahore and Riyadh-Islamabad Sectors. According to information available, the airline will use 2 types of aircrafts for this operations. Airbus A-320 aircraft will be used on Dammam-Lahore and Riyadh-Islamabad Sectors, whereas the airline intends to start Jeddah-Lahore operations with Boeing 767 aircraft.

Flynas intend to start the services in February 2018 and the first flight will be operated on 1st February 2018 between Dammam-Lahore with Airbus A-320 aircraft. Other routes are expected to start on 15th February 2018 betwee Riyadh-Lahore, Riyadh-Islamabad and Jeddah-Lahore.

2) SaudiGulf

Saudi Gulf is a private airline based in Dammam. It is the third Saudi flag carrier owned by Abdulhadi Al Qahtani and Sons Holding Company (Tareq Al Qahtani and Brothers). The airline operates a fleet of A320 aircrafts while they have plans for 16 Boeing 777. Now they are planning to commence operations from Dammam to the four cities of Pakistan which include Lahore, Peshawar, Islamabad, and Sialkot. The airline will use A320 aircrafts which come equipped with leather seats in both compartments, Business and Economy Class. The start of Saudi Gulf would provide a tough competition to the other airlines as it provides good facilities at a cheap price.

SaudiGulf will be represented by Gerry's Group in Pakistan. SaudiGulf has announced the start of its operations to four destinations in Pakistan as part of its international route expansion program from March 1, 2018. SaudiGulf fares are to start from 12,000 PKR and include free seat selection, hot meals, in-flight entertainment services as well as personalized customer service.

Emphasizing on the pivotal role of travel trade in maintaining the relationship between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, SaudiGulf Airlines will commence direct flights from Dammam to Lahore & Islamabad with a frequency of 4 flights per week as well as 3 flights per week connecting Dammam with Sialkot & Peshawar.

Mr. Karim Makhlouf, Chief Commercial Officer,in a statement at a press conference in Islamabad stated:

‘’We are pleased to announce our 2018 international routes expansion starting with four destinations in Pakistan from Dammam, SaudiGulf Airline’s main base in Saudia Arabia. This route will connect passengers from Pakistan across the kingdom of Saudi Arabia through King Fahd International Airport in Dammam.’’

Utilizing King Fahd International Airport in Dammam as the hub of its operations, SaudiGulf airlines will be the first Saudi carrier to operate direct flights between the Eastern Providence of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

This strategic decision was taken by SaudiGulf Airlines aligned with the Saudi Vision 2030 to support the expanding growth in infrastructure projects in the kingdom which will ultimately contribute to ease of travel to passengers between Saudi Arabia & Pakistan.

Furthermore, the routes shall be utilized to carry passengers from the mentioned destinations in Pakistan across the kingdom of Saudi Arabia though the Dammam hub. Connections mainly include Jeddah &Medina dedicated to carry Hajj & Umrah passengers.

The Pakistan army has acquired latest drone technology to monitor China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Sui gas pipeline, sensitive installations, bridges, dams and borders.

The High Tech Uqab Drone CPEC Security, second drone, prepared by a private company Global Industrial & Defence Solutions (GIDS), Pakistan, has flight capacity of 15 hours; High Tech Uqab Drone CPEC Security can carry missile with weight of 1,000kg ammunition and can hit the target.

As compared to drones manufactured in other countries, the High Tech Uqab Drone CPEC Security has been manufactured efficiently with comparatively less cost incurred per unit – with the same number of useful features.

Having an expendable drone readily available for dispatch, Pakistan Army will be able to conduct surveillance in remote and dangerous areas within and across the border.

Along with its military uses, the High Tech Uqab Drone CPEC Security can also be used to figure out problems related to climate change by conducting scientific analysis and to reach remote areas which are otherwise difficult to survey.

With the issue of terrorist attacks and subversive individuals with their hideouts spread throughout the borders and within Pakistan’s diverse territory, Pak Army needed a reliable source of survey which can help spot these hideouts and effectively get rid of them.

According to sources of the company, the drone would soon be presented in market for sale as 15, including some European countries, submitted application showing interest in purchase of Pakistani drone.
