Now few hours are remaining in the General Elections 2018, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has launched its Click ECP Election 2018 Official Mobile Application in a bid to guide voters on the polling process and keep them updated through press releases and other news. It is an Android App.

President Mamnoon Hussain inaugurated the Click ECP Election 2018 Official Mobile Application. In his address on the occasion, the President expressed satisfaction that the electoral system of the country has entered a modern era.

He hoped that the Click ECP Election 2018 Official Mobile Application would contribute significantly towards voters’ awareness.

President Mamnoon Hussain said experiments of biometric system and electronic voting machines have also been conducted as part of the efforts to further improve the electoral system and ensure greater transparency.

He added that the training of the election staff is also an important aspect of the program, aimed at bringing further qualitative improvements in the system. He said:

“While introducing modern information technology, we should also keep in mind the presence of voters in far flung and backward areas that are not properly educated.”

To check your vote details, go to Voters Section > Check Your Vote > Enter CNIC > Send.

As per the application, Rs 2+tax will be charged for the check. The app sends an SMS to 8300 for you following which, you receive your details as an SMS.

• New Initiatives – The section highlights the new initiatives taken by the ECP including GIS polling scheme, Electronic Voting Machine (EVM), Biometric Verification Machine (BVM) etc.
• Election Section – This section provides all the information regarding the elections, from results to election rules, statistics, election symbols, political parties etc.

• Latest Updates – You will get all the latest news and updates about the General Elections including polling schemes, training material etc.
• Media Section – This section includes all the press releases, announcements, news, notifications, downloads, video and photo galleries for the general public.

The Power Division PITC Free Roshan Pakistan Android App was formally launched by Minister for Power Division, Awais Ahmed Leghari on Tuesday 26th December 2017 in Islamabad.
Mr. Awais Ahmed Leghari said on this occasion:

“For the first time in the history of Pakistan, the government has given excess of information to the public for maintaining transparency and provision of accurate information.”

He said that mobile application ‘Roshan Pakistan’ would give access to the consumers for vital information on billing and power supply situation.

Roshan Pakistan App has four key features:

Schedule: Through the app, the users are able to view planned load shedding schedule and actual load-shedding.

Billing info: The users are able to view billing information and get duplicate bills.

Estimated bills: The users are able to get estimated bills through bill estimator by just entering consumed units.

Net-metering: The users can know about facility of net metering at their respective feeder by just entering reference number.

He also told that 5,297 feeders out of a total of 8,600 are declared free of load shedding. Now government will give public info regarding live power situation that used to be available to ministers and secretary only.

Awais further added that:

“Making this information public is for making ourselves accountable to the public. From now on, each power feeder of Discos will be on the radar of the public,” he said, adding that the system will enable consumers to get the status of their relevant feeder with regard to off hours, theft and billing. “We have brought these details to the palm of a consumer.”

This App will help users to calculate their bill in advance as it will provide information about next 24 hours and past 24 hours. It will also provide information of last 12 months and will also facilitate users to duplicate bill.

No Doubt, this App will bring a positive change in Pakistan. This is a good step towards the digitization of society. Right now this app is launched for only Android users, however iOS users will have to wait longer.
