Men Hockey World Cup 2018 Bhubaneswar India Pakistan Qualified for Mega Event

Men Hockey World Cup 2018 Bhubaneswar India Update: Pakistan men’s hockey team have become the latest team to qualify for the Hockey Men Hockey World Cup 2018 Bhubaneswar India.

The Green Shirts, currently ranked 14th in the International Hockey Federation (FIH ) world rankings, finished in seventh position in the Hero Hockey World League Semi-final in London, meaning they faced an anxious wait to see if that was good enough to earn them qualification to the blue riband event that takes place in India next year from November 28th to December 16th 2018.

On this occasion Federation of International Hockey tweet via its Twitter account and congratulate the Pakistani hockey team.

Pakistan is the 13th team which has qualified for the Men Hockey World Cup 2018 Bhubaneswar India. There are still three more places left to be filled in.

The results at the Euro Hockey Championships, which are currently taking place in Amsterdam, have gone very much in favour of Pakistan, with all four of the semi-finalists having already qualified for the World Cup via the Hockey World League route.

Under FIH regulations, the team that wins its continental qualifier automatically qualifies for the Men Hockey World Cup 2018 Bhubaneswar India.

However, the semi-finals of the European continental qualifier will be contested by Germany, England, Netherlands and Belgium, teams that have already achieved World Cup qualification, thanks to top five finishes in the Hockey World League Semi-Finals.

This means that the Men Hockey World Cup 2018 Bhubaneswar India ticket goes to the highest placed finisher from the Hockey World League Semi-Finals that has not already achieved World Cup qualification.

Pakistan are the higher ranked of the two seventh place finishers from the Hockey World League Semi-Final events that took place in London and Johannesburg, with 16th ranked France next in line for that all-important Men Hockey World Cup 2018 Bhubaneswar India ticket.

Pakistan is the only team to have won the World Cup title four times. Nevertheless, Pakistan didn’t make it to the Rabobank Hockey World Cup 2014, which was an unfortunate news, not just for Pakistan but for the world hockey as well.

Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Canada, England, Germany, Ireland, Malaysia, Netherlands, Spain and New Zealand have already qualified. They have qualified for the World Cup along with the host nation India. The host team automatically qualifies for the event.

The final three men’s World Cup qualification places will be decided by the outcomes of the upcoming Continental Championship events in Oceania (9-15 October 2017), Asia (17-22 October 2017), and Africa (19-29 October 2017).

Yara Birkeland World First Auto Container Ship to Launch in 2018

Yara Birkeland World First Auto Container Ship Update: Norway-based Yara has revealed its plans to develop the world’s first all-electric and autonomous container ship that is predicted to remove 747 tons (678 tonnes) of carbon dioxide from the air by reducing diesel-powered truck haulage by 40,000 journeys a year.

Named ‘Yara Birkeland’, the high tech Yara Birkeland World First Auto Container Ship is set to sail in 2018 - it will initially be operated as a manned vessel, but the team has noted 2020 as when it will be fully autonomous. It is set to be the first ship to sail the seas without a single human on board.

The roads are becoming overcrowded with the number of tech giants and carmakers racing to release a fleet of self-driving taxis.

But, while they fight over the roads, Yara Birkeland World First Auto Container Ship is set to take over the seas.

The firm has teamed up with maritime technology company Kongsberg to build what is deemed an ‘innovation to protect our planet’.

Svein Tore Holsether, President and CEO of YARA said:
"Every day, more than 100 diesel truck journeys are needed to transport products from YARA's Porsgrunn plant to ports in Brevik and Larvik where we ship products to customers around the world."
Svein Tore Holsether added:
"With this new autonomous battery-driven container vessel we move transport from road to sea and thereby reduce noise and dust emissions, improve the safety of local roads, and reduce NOx and CO2 emissions."
Kongsberg is tasked with the development and delivery of all key enabling technologies on Yara Birkeland World First Auto Container Ship including the sensors and integration required for remote and autonomous operations, in addition to the electric drive, battery and propulsion control systems.

Geir Håøy, President and CEO of Kongsberg, said:
"By moving container transport from land to sea, YARA Birkeland is the start of a major contribution to fulfilling national and international environmental impact goals."
The new concept of Yara Birkeland World First Auto Container Ship is also a giant step forward towards increased seaborne transportation in general.

And the firms noted that Kongsberg’s integrated control and monitory system are already capable of providing technology for remote and unmanned operations.
Håøy added:
"Developing systems for autonomous operations is a major opening and natural step for KONGSBERG, considering our decades of expertise in the development and integration of advanced sensors, control and communication systems for all areas of ship operations."
Yara Birkeland World First Auto Container Ship will set the benchmark for the application of innovative maritime technology for more efficient and environment friendly shipping.

Fastest Texter Guinness World Record 2017 Goes to Pakistani Abdul Basit

Fastest Texter Guinness World Record 2017 Update: A Pakistani mental-genius Abdul Basit has set a new world record by setting the Fastest Texter Guinness World Record 2017. Besides this Abdul Basit also got the Guinnes World Recrod of fastest time to identify all the elements in the periodic table.

A memory-genius and a very humble person by nature, Abdul Basit currently resides in Dubai. He holds a B.A. degree from Bahauddin Zakaria University, Multan, and is an MBA (MIS) from IBA, Karachi. He is married, has three kids, and earns his living as a mental-calculations and memory trainer at an American institute.

Abul Basit told ProPakistani, back when he attempted his first record.
“In mental calculations, I am not anything like a genius but from my childhood, I was pretty good at it.”
He added:
“I touched pretty much every field, science, commerce, arts. But the subjects with numbers, I liked the most.”
In December 2016, Abdul Basit achieved his first Guinness World Record — he managed to identify all the elements of the periodic table in 3 minutes and 9.29 seconds.
He said that:

"I planned to break a new world record in a different category every 6 months!"

Fastest Time to Type a Text Message on a Mobile Phone Using Swype Technology

He is now officially the Fastest Texter Guinness World Record 2017 fastest person to type a text message on a mobile phone using Swype technology. If you don’t know what Swype is, its an onscreen keyboard app that lets you type on a touch keyboard using gestures — gliding your finger across the screen from one letter to another to make up a word.

Just like last time, his main motivation for attempting the record was, like it says on the record’s page, to inspire his students.
“I just do it to tell my students that if they have some target or a goal in life, and they are determined to achieve it, no one can stop them.”
When asked about how he practiced for the event, he said that he doesn’t get much time due to his tough teaching schedule. Usually, he spent just 15 minutes on a daily basis to practice for the record. That time also includes the few seconds he managed to utilize every time his car was at a red signal.

The Fastest Texter Guinness World Record 2017  was attempted on the 22nd of May 2017 in private settings in an office with four cameras to capture the event. Two official timekeepers and two judges were also present to ensure the fairness of the attempt. To achieve the record, Abdul Basit had to type out the required text and hold up the mobile at full arm’s length once he was done.

As you can see in the video above, Abdul Basit managed to type the whole text in 17.5 seconds. For better visibility, here is the full content of the text he was asked to type:

“The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human.”

Abdul Basit is determined to continue breaking records. His next goal is to memorize the most decimal places of Euler’s number, an irrational number that is considered to be very important in the field of Mathematics.
