“We are pleased to be collaborating with Irfan, Harris and their team to begin developing the Baskin-Robbins brand in Pakistan by bringing our wide range of delicious ice cream flavours, cakes and other treats to Pakistani customers,” said Dunkin’ Brands International Vice President John Varughese.

Baskin-Robbins currently has more than 7,800 restaurants in more than 50 countries around the world.

History of Bakin Robbins
Nearly three-quarters of a century ago, two brothers-in-law shared a dream to create an innovative ice cream store that would be a neighborhood gathering place for families. Burton "Burt" Baskin and Irvine "Irv" Robbins had a mutual love of old-fashioned ice cream and the desire to provide customers a variety of flavors made with ingredients of the highest quality in a fun, inviting atmosphere.

As a teen, Irv worked in his father's ice cream store. During World War II, Burt was a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy and produced ice cream for his fellow troops. When the war was over, the two entrepreneurs were eager to capitalize on America's love of ice cream.

They started out in separate ventures at the advice of Irv’s father. In 1945, Irv opened Snowbird Ice Cream in Glendale, California. His store featured 21 flavors and emphasized high-quality ice cream sold in a fun, personalized atmosphere. A year later, Burt opened Burton's Ice Cream Shop in Pasadena, CA. By 1948, they had six stores between them. This concept eventually grew into Baskin-Robbins.

As the number of stores grew, Burt and Irv recognized that to maintain the high standards they set in the beginning, each store would require a manager who had an ownership interest in its overall operation. Even though they didn't realize it at the time, the two founders had pioneered the concept of franchising in the ice cream industry. In 1949, there were more than 40 stores in Southern California when Burt and Irv purchased their first dairy in Burbank. This business decision allowed them to have complete control over the production of their ice cream, and the development of new ingredients and flavors.

It wasn’t until 1953 that the ice cream chain dropped the separate identities of Snowbird and Burton's and became Baskin-Robbins. A local advertising agency, Carson/Roberts, advised a uniform identity and image under the name Baskin-Robbins 31 Ice Cream. Their recommendations included the "31®" logo to represent a flavor for every day of the month, Cherry (pink) and Chocolate (brown) polka dots to be reminiscent of clowns, carnivals and fun and lastly, the use of cartoons to bring their flavors alive with personality to graphically highlight the name and delicious ingredients. With this over-arching branding, Baskin-Robbins' iconic pink spoons were created with the belief that people should be able to try any of their many flavors without cost.

In 1954, Baskin-Robbins put their product on the line against their competitors at the Los Angeles County Fair. That year they won their first Gold Medal and set the pattern for county and state fair participation, earning Gold Medals for Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream every year since that first contest.
Baskin-Robbins continued to expand, and by the mid-1960s, the company had become an ice cream empire with more than 400 stores throughout the United States. In the 1970s the chain went international, opening stores in Japan, Saudi Arabia, Korea and Australia.

ICC Champions Trophy 2017 Pakistan beats India in Final by 180 Runs

ICC Champions Trophy 2017 Pakistan beats India Update: Pakistan, at their most magnificent, swarmed all over India to win the Champions Trophy by 180 runs.

ICC Champions Trophy 2017 Pakistan beats India. It was the same template as when they won their previous global one-day tournament, the 1992 World Cup, in that Pakistan were hopeless at the outset of this tournament, which they entered as the eighth-ranked ODI team, to be demolished by India in their opening qualifier. Yet, England in the semi-final and India in the final could not live with them.

ICC Champions Trophy 2017 Pakistan beats India. Having failed to reach 250 so far in this tournament, Pakistan posted 338 for four on the back of a dashing century by Fakhar Zaman, who slammed 114 off 106 balls, then bowled out India in only 30.3 overs on the back of Mohammad Amir’s opening spell. Again the importance of the opening partnership was illustrated to England, for whom it was the Achilles heel:

Read: ICC Cricket Champions Trophy 2017 Pakistan Beats England for Finals

ICC Champions Trophy 2017 Pakistan beats India. Pakistan had slumped to eighth partly because they had gone 35 ODIs without a century opening stand, but once the left-handed Fakhar was paired with the steady Test opener Azhar Ali, they launched Pakistan with 118 against England, and 128 off only 23 overs against India.

Pakistan’s coach Mickey Arthur said:
“I’ve had five semi-finals with South Africa and never got to a final."
He added:
“I got to one final with Pakistan and eventually got a medal, so that’s fantastic, but the credit goes to the players.”
India’s captain Virat Kohli generously admitted:
“They [Pakistan] made us make those mistakes because of the way they were bowling and the way they applied the pressure in the field as well, and we have no hesitations or shame to admit that we could not play our best game today.”
Pakistan’s cricket is often hailed as mysterious and inexplicable instead of being the product of its environment, which it naturally is. Their aspiring cricketers pick up a bat and grip it as they like, without coaches telling them to use their leading elbow, and bowlers cannot extract bounce out of grass less pitches, like concrete, so they move it sideways instead: hence batsmen like Fakhar with his strong bottom hand.

As for inconsistency, or “unpredictability”, it stems from an infrastructure, which is not well-resourced by comparison with India’s, England’s and Australia’s: hence Pakistan could field like drains against India in the qualifier, and like a dream in the final.

The century by Fakhar, whose name means “pride”, was not the best innings played in a global one-day final because there was so much playing and missing and top-edging if the ball was short. It was, however, the most audacious and he had much of which to be proud. Fakhar, 27, dared to reach for the stars – never having played a one-day international before last month – and in his four innings in this Champions Trophy, he scored 30, 51, 57 against England, and his 114 made him man of the match.

Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed said:
"He hoped his side’s stunning 180-run Champions Trophy final win over arch-rivals India would be a catalyst for the full return of international cricket to his homeland."
Sarfaraz added:
“I hope this win will boost Pakistan cricket and hopefully all the (major) playing nations will come to Pakistan.”
This Champions Trophy went ahead as scheduled despite a terror attack at a pop concert in Manchester, northern England, on May 22 that killed 22 people. And it continued even after another deadly attack at London Bridge, barely two miles from The Oval on June 3 in which eight people died.

But after the victims were remembered with a minute’s silence by a capacity crowd, fans at The Oval were soon engrossed by an extraordinary match.

NBA Championship 2017 Golden State Warriors Defeats Cavaliers in Three Years

NBA Championship 2017 Golden State Warriors Defeats Cavaliers Update: The Golden State Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 5 of the NBA Finals on Monday 12th June 2017, 129-120, for its second championship in three seasons, avenging last season’s historic collapse.

NBA Championship 2017 Golden State Warriors Defeats Cavaliers. The Warriors were led by sensational performances from Kevin Durant, who scored 39 points, grabbed seven rebounds and recorded five assists, and Stephen Curry, who scored 34 points, recorded 10 assists and grabbed six rebounds.

Curry said during the trophy celebration:
"We learned from everything we've been through."
He added:
"Our perspective, being blessed to play on this stage three years in a row, it's for these fans, for our organization, for these families. To be back here, bring ol' Larry back home, I'm just excited to do something special. I'm ready to do it again."
It is Durant’s first NBA championship win in his second-ever appearance in the Finals.
Durant said:
"It's just a great group of guys, great community, great arena, great fans."
Durant added:
"I'm just so happy to be a part of it. I can't wait to celebrate with my teammates in the locker room."
The Warriors did not win without a hard-fought effort from the LeBron James-led Cavaliers. James led all scorers with 41 points, grabbed 13 boards and recorded eight assists. NBA Championship 2017 Golden State Warriors Defeats Cavaliers.

Read: Former NFL Player Aaron Hernandez Hanged Himself in a Prison Cell

James was helped by Kyrie Irving’s 26 points and J.R. Smith’s 25 points.
The Warriors won in 2015 before the Cavs made their historic comeback last year. Then it was Golden State's time again, with Durant as the prized addition.

Durant shot 14 for 20 and Curry — the two-time reigning MVP who took a backseat as the new big star got acclimated — finished off a brilliant post season. Not to mention a healthy one after his 2016 injuries.

On Monday, Golden State used a 27-4 second-quarter run to take charge — just after it appeared Durant should have been called for a third foul on a basket by James — and got to celebrate right at home in Oakland surrounded by a deafening home crowd waving yellow rally towels and holding up phones to shoot video and photos as the final minute of the clock ticked away.
The buzzer sounded and gold confetti began to fall.

The Warriors became the first Bay Area team to capture a championship at home since the A's finished the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 5 of the 1974 World Series.

A year ago, these Warriors fell short after a record-setting season that included a 24-0 start and 73 victories at the end to break the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls' wins.

ICC Cricket Champions Trophy 2017 Pakistan Beats Sri Lanka for Semi Finals

ICC Cricket Champions Trophy 2017 Pakistan Beats Sri Lanka Update: Sarfraz Ahmed and Mohammad Amir led Pakistan to a sensational three-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in the virtual quarter-final of the ICC Champions Trophy in Cardiff on Monday. ICC Cricket Champions Trophy 2017 Pakistan Beats Sri Lanka.

Chasing 237 to book their place in the last-four, the Men in Green were in all sorts of troubles after losing seven wickets for a score of 162 in the 30th over.

ICC Cricket Champions Trophy 2017 Pakistan Beats Sri Lanka. However, pacer Amir, who had a wonderful day with the ball earlier, supported his captain in an unbeaten 75-run match-winning eighth-wicket partnership, as Pakistan chased down the target in the 45th over.

ICC Cricket Champions Trophy 2017 Pakistan Beats Sri Lanka. Sarfraz finished with a brilliant unbeaten knock of 61 off 79, which included five boundaries, whereas Amir finished with valuable a 28 not out.

For Sri Lanka, pacer Nuwan Pradeep was the pick of the bowlers as he finished with the figures of three for 60 in his 10 overs.

Earlier, after being put into bat first, the Islander were bowled out for 236 in the final over of their innings, courtesy sublime bowling performance from the Pakistani pacers.

Left-arm paceman Junaid Khan and right-armer Hasan Ali were the pick of the bowlers for the Men in Green, as the duo claimed three wickets a piece, whereas Amir and debutante Faheem Ashraf picked two wickets each.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Niroshan Dickwella finished with the top score of 73 off 86 balls, which included four boundaries.

This victory means that England will meet Pakistan in Cardiff in the first semi‑final on Wednesday. They may be happy about that for the surface here seems to suit some of their team (their bowlers if not their batsmen).

There has not been much encouragement for bowlers in this tournament but the likelihood of some lateral movement for the fast men has been greater in Wales than in England. There may not be much pace in the pitches in Cardiff but good bowlers have sporadically found some movement. In earlier games Tim Southee, Liam Plunkett and Mark Wood have gained some assistance from grass, which Eoin Morgan has described as “thatchy”.

Read: ICC Champions Trophy 2017 Schedule Tickets Prices Media Coverage Rights

Pakistan, especially with the introduction of Junaid Khan as a replacement for the volatile Wahab Riaz alongside Amir and Hasan Ali, now have a triumvirate of pace bowlers who seem adept at exploiting any help. Hence they may be more dangerous opponents for England than Sri Lanka might have been.

Their pace trio were effective on Monday. Between them they took eight wickets with the debutant seamer Fahim Ashraf also picking up two. Such conditions favour Pakistan’s style of play. They are not so well equipped to chase the mega-totals as their batting lineup may be described as old-fashioned – with the exception of the newcomer Fakhar Zaman, a left-hander who wastes no time. But mega-totals in Cardiff are not guaranteed.

Melania Trump Donald Trump Ends Commuter Marriage Shifted to White House

Melania Trump Donald Trump Ends Commuter Marriage Update: The US president Donald Trump and first lady’s commuter marriage appears to be over, as the family has united under one roof again.

First lady Melania Trump and son Barron, 11, moved into the White House Sunday 11th June 2017 after spending the first several months of President Trump’s presidency residing in their Trump Tower penthouse in New York City.

“Looking forward to the memories we’ll make in our new home!” Melania Trump tweeted Sunday from her official @FLOTUS account. An accompanying photograph featured a view of the Washington Monument from a window in the White House.

Her communications director Stephanie Grisham confirmed the Melania Trump Donald Trump Ends Commuter Marriage, tweeting, “It’s official! @FLOTUS & Barron have made the move to DC! #WelcomeHome.”

The first lady and the president held hands as they walked from Marine One to the White House on Sunday. Melania Trump Donald Trump Ends Commuter Marriage. Barron strolled alongside them, dressed in a T-shirt emblazoned with the words, “The Expert.”
Read: Meera Irtaza Replied Donald Trump on Twitter

It is unusual for the first lady and the president to live apart during any stretch of the presidency, much less in its infancy. The Washington Post reported it appeared “unprecedented” and described the decision as flouting “the most basic of all first lady traditions.”

After Trump’s inauguration in January, Melania Trump and Barron remained in New York so the 11-year-old could finish out the school year at Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. He will transfer to the private St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Maryland for the coming year.

Melania said after the election in November, when she first announced she would remain in New York:
“My husband is traveling all the time.”
She added:
“Barron needs somebody as a parent, so I am with him all the time.”
Indeed, Melania has scarcely been seen at the White House since Trump’s presidency began. April’s Easter Egg Roll, which she co-hosted, arguably marked her most high-profile appearance in Washington since the inauguration.

Many think that will likely change, particularly because it will be more difficult for her to remain unseen while living in Washington, D.C.

Toyota Camry 2018 Eighth Generation Family Sedan Unveiled at 2017 Detroit International Auto Show

Toyota Camry 2018 Eighth Generation Family Sedan Update: Toyota’s eighth-generation Camry has been touted as having aggressive character lines and a low center of gravity.

It’s wider, rides lower, and has crazy looking boomerang-like rear lights. The bestselling sedan by Toyota finally pulled into the spotlight at the 2017 Detroit auto show.

For 2018, the Toyota Camry 2018 Eighth Generation Family Sedan is available in four variants: LE, XLE, SE, and XSE. It is offered with a choice of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder, a 3.5-liter V-6 engine, or a hybrid version with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).

Old school gas versions get an all-new 8-speed automatic transmission and platform to boot.
Bob Carter, Toyota senior veep, gushes in a statement:
“The all-new 2018 Camry is, without a doubt, the most captivating mid-size sedan we’ve ever produced.”
“It delivers on everything Camry owners have come to expect from America’s best-selling car, and adds to it, jaw-dropping design, more advanced technology, cutting-edge safety systems, and stirring performance that raises it to an unparalleled level of excitement.”
Masato Katsumata, Camry chief engineer said:
“In order to create something that stirs people’s soul, we’ve laid out the concept of a new sedan that provides fun and excitement behind the wheel.”
“In developing the next-generation Toyota Camry, we were able to start with a clean slate, which allowed us to create a true driver’s car.”

Toyota says the wheelbase of Toyota Camry 2018 Eighth Generation Family Sedan was extended by two inches over the previous generation and the roof was lowered by an inch. The new hood was also dropped by 1.5 inches.

Ten airbags are standard on all Camrys and Toyota’s Star Safety System includes enhanced vehicle stability control, traction control, brake assist, ABS, and a backup camera.

Toyota announced that the latest Toyota Camry 2018 Eighth Generation Family Sedan should make its way into dealerships by the late summer 2017.

Engine

One thing Toyota decided not to do was downsize the gasoline four-cylinder engine in the hybrid. It uses essentially the same version of the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine as in other versions of the Camry, albeit tuned differently.

It’s a large four-cylinder engine, but one that achieves thermal efficiency that can exceed 40 percent, Toyota said.
