Toyota Aqua Prius C 2018 Launched-Check Engine Specs Exterior and Interior

Toyota Aqua Prius C 2018 Update: The Toyota Aqua also known as the Toyota Prius C might not be well known throughout the world, but it is proven to be extremely popular in Japan being one of the best selling cars there right now, in Q1 of 2017 alone Toyota has managed to shift nearly 40,000 units of the Aqua in Japan.

The Toyota Aqua Prius C 2018 is essentially what people call the “baby Prius”, it’s a smaller and more affordable version of the full sized Toyota Prius.

Now in 2017 Toyota has decided to refresh the Aqua once again with the new 2018 face lifted. Let’s take a deeper look into the baby Prius which has come of age.

Exterior

Toyota Aqua Prius C 2018 features an updated aggressive design language with new narrower LED headlights with daytime running lights, a large hexagonal shaped air intake and styled louvers near where the fog lights usually are.

The rear end features much of the same design, the new vertical taillights feature a slightly more modern design with a dark tint and a slightly more squared rear bumper.

There is also a new version of the Toyota Aqua that features more of a crossover design called the Toyota Aqua Crossover, with this crossover variant Toyota has decided to stray away from the traditional hatchback looks and give the Aqua more of a rugged SUV design.

That is why the updated Crossover variant of the Toyota Aqua features a more substantial ride height, aggressively styled louvers, new 16-inch aluminum wheels, roof rails, a faux skid plate and general SUV styling cues all around the vehicle.

Interior

According to the official announcements, no major changes were made to the interior of the new Toyota Aqua Prius C 2018.

Having said that, improvements have been made since the vehicle is now considered spacious and more comfortable.

Previously, it was argued that Toyota models from 2018 and onward will either have CarPlay or Android Auto connectivity feature, but that is not the case. Toyota is still keen on introducing its own proprietary infotainment system instead.

The lightly revised interior of Toyota Aqua Prius C 2018 includes a refreshed center stack and an updated steering wheel as shown below:

Engine

In spite of the 2018 Prius C’s new look, the model’s gasoline-electric powertrain is left unchanged. All Prius C models once again utilize a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine and two AC motor/generators that produce a combined 99 horsepower.

The larger motor/generator is geared directly to the final-drive differential to provide propulsion and to generate electricity during deceleration.

The smaller AC unit collaborates with the combustion engine through a planetary gearset to power the wheels with electronically controlled drive ratios, often called an electronic CVT.

The car also has an ECO mode for even greater efficiency, as well as the ability to travel solely on electric power for about a mile at speeds under 25 mph.

Release Date, Price & More

The new Toyota Aqua Prius C 2018 is expected to hit the market this summer. However, its fully redesigned model is not expected to arrive until 2019.

Official pricing for the Toyota Prius C will start at around Rs. 2.1 million, and it will come in 9 different colors:
  1. Tide Pool Pearl
  2. Moonglow
  3. Classic Silver Metallic
  4. Magnetic Gray Metallic
  5. Black Sand Pearl

Toyota Camry 2018 Eighth Generation Family Sedan Unveiled at 2017 Detroit International Auto Show

Toyota Camry 2018 Eighth Generation Family Sedan Update: Toyota’s eighth-generation Camry has been touted as having aggressive character lines and a low center of gravity.

It’s wider, rides lower, and has crazy looking boomerang-like rear lights. The bestselling sedan by Toyota finally pulled into the spotlight at the 2017 Detroit auto show.

For 2018, the Toyota Camry 2018 Eighth Generation Family Sedan is available in four variants: LE, XLE, SE, and XSE. It is offered with a choice of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder, a 3.5-liter V-6 engine, or a hybrid version with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).

Old school gas versions get an all-new 8-speed automatic transmission and platform to boot.
Bob Carter, Toyota senior veep, gushes in a statement:
“The all-new 2018 Camry is, without a doubt, the most captivating mid-size sedan we’ve ever produced.”
“It delivers on everything Camry owners have come to expect from America’s best-selling car, and adds to it, jaw-dropping design, more advanced technology, cutting-edge safety systems, and stirring performance that raises it to an unparalleled level of excitement.”
Masato Katsumata, Camry chief engineer said:
“In order to create something that stirs people’s soul, we’ve laid out the concept of a new sedan that provides fun and excitement behind the wheel.”
“In developing the next-generation Toyota Camry, we were able to start with a clean slate, which allowed us to create a true driver’s car.”

Toyota says the wheelbase of Toyota Camry 2018 Eighth Generation Family Sedan was extended by two inches over the previous generation and the roof was lowered by an inch. The new hood was also dropped by 1.5 inches.

Ten airbags are standard on all Camrys and Toyota’s Star Safety System includes enhanced vehicle stability control, traction control, brake assist, ABS, and a backup camera.

Toyota announced that the latest Toyota Camry 2018 Eighth Generation Family Sedan should make its way into dealerships by the late summer 2017.
