Power Division PITC Free Roshan Pakistan Android App Update:

Power Division on Tuesday launched a mobile app “Roshan Pakistan” that would give consumers access to vital information, such as billing and the power supply situation.


Power Division PITC Free Roshan Pakistan Android App is available for Android smartphone users and can be downloaded through Google Play Store. Power Division PITC Free Roshan Pakistan Android App is launched under the banner of Power Information Technology Company (PITC).

Power Division PITC Free Roshan Pakistan Android App will now ensure transparency in power system. It will also provide information to general public regarding, consumption, supply, billing. People will also be able to calculate bills online.


The Power Division PITC Free Roshan Pakistan Android App was formally launched by Minister for Power Division, Awais Ahmed Leghari on Tuesday 26th December 2017 in Islamabad.
Mr. Awais Ahmed Leghari said on this occasion:
“For the first time in the history of Pakistan, the government has given excess of information to the public for maintaining transparency and provision of accurate information.”
He said that mobile application ‘Roshan Pakistan’ would give access to the consumers for vital information on billing and power supply situation.


Roshan Pakistan App has four key features:

Schedule: Through the app, the users are able to view planned load shedding schedule and actual load-shedding.

Billing info: The users are able to view billing information and get duplicate bills.

Estimated bills: The users are able to get estimated bills through bill estimator by just entering consumed units.

Net-metering: The users can know about facility of net metering at their respective feeder by just entering reference number.


He also told that 5,297 feeders out of a total of 8,600 are declared free of load shedding. Now government will give public info regarding live power situation that used to be available to ministers and secretary only.

Awais further added that:
“Making this information public is for making ourselves accountable to the public. From now on, each power feeder of Discos will be on the radar of the public,” he said, adding that the system will enable consumers to get the status of their relevant feeder with regard to off hours, theft and billing. “We have brought these details to the palm of a consumer.”
This App will help users to calculate their bill in advance as it will provide information about next 24 hours and past 24 hours. It will also provide information of last 12 months and will also facilitate users to duplicate bill.

No Doubt, this App will bring a positive change in Pakistan. This is a good step towards the digitization of society. Right now this app is launched for only Android users, however iOS users will have to wait longer.
