Gender Guardian Transgender School Pakistan Ready to Open on 15th April 2018

Gender Guardian Transgender School Pakistan Update:

The transgender population has always been marked alone and discriminated against all. The basic difference starts when they are taken out of schools and are barred from acquiring education which is their basic right. Regarding this, the government has definitely pushed limits and has worked on building a school solely dedicated to them. Gender Guardian Transgender School Pakistan.

Pakistan will inaugurate its first ever institute for educational and vocational training for the transgender community next Sunday 15th April 2018 in Lahore. Gender Guardian Transgender School Pakistan.

The school will also impart technical education, such as fashion designing, beautician and hair styling courses, graphic designing, computer and mobile repairing, among others. Gender Guardian Transgender School Pakistan.

The school was founded by Asif Shahzad and the Exploring Future Foundation. According to Asif, about 15 faculty members (including three from the transgender community) will serve at the school initially.
Furthermore, two other branches of the same institution will be opened in Karachi and Islamabad in the coming days.

According to reports, a total of 40 students have already taken up admission in the school. The school offers 12 years of education starting from the primary level to matriculation and then intermediate.
The Gender Guardian school will also offer technical courses to its students that include:
  • Graphic designing,
  • Computer and mobile repairing,
  • Beautician,
  • Fashion designing and
  • Hairstyling courses.
This for sure is a complete educational process, which not only targets the mainstream schooling but would also keep in focus the ways which could help these children in building a steady future.

Vocational training is a significant part of schooling and is an idea that should be adopted by the other schooling systems in Pakistan. This would open more career opportunities rather than just sticking to the certain narrow career options for the individuals who want to test their abilities in professions other than the chosen ones.

Another amazing aspect of the school is out of the fifteen-membered faculty, three are of the transgender community, thus they would be able to explain ideas in a better way to the students while also being able to understand their mindset and thought process which would be able to take the school in the needed direction.

The school will be formally launched through an opening ceremony at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore's Alhamra Hall, with several names from the showbiz industry expected to attend.
