FWO Smart Motorway M-Tag Compulsory for Commercial Vehicles From 31st March 2018

FWO Smart Motorways M-Tag Compulsory Update:

All commercial vehicles without M-tag will be prohibited from entering the motorway starting March 31st, 2018. Previously, E-tag facility was used for toll tax and utility bills’ payments; however, the system has now been replaced with M-tag by the Frontier Works Organization. FWO Smart Motorways M-Tag Compulsory.

What is M-Tag?

Just like its predecessor, M-tag will work on the same principles of E-tag. Vehicle owners will be given a pre-paid Radio-frequency identification (RFID) chip that will be read by the scanners installed at booths on the motorway. The scanners will read the chips on the vehicles upon entering and will deduct the due toll tax upon leaving automatically. The scanner will also record the location of entry along with the remaining balance in the RFID-chip. FWO Smart Motorways M-Tag Compulsory.

Previously, dedicated lanes were established at toll booths for vehicles with E-tag. The lanes opened for those cars only that had E-tag sticker on them. NADRA managed the E-tag system that contained vehicles details, linked with the owners’ details at the database level. FWO Smart Motorways M-Tag Compulsory.

The technology, as mentioned earlier, has now been replaced with M-tag facility and FWO Smart Motorways is managing it. FWO says that for now, it is only compulsory for commercial vehicles to get registered for an M-tag. Jazz Cash and FWO Agreement

Earlier this month, JazzCash, Jazz’s online payment facility entered into an agreement with the Frontier Works Organization (FWO) for digitizing the M-Tag facility. With this new partnership, users will now be able to pay their toll fees on the motorway through JazzCash.

As a result of this partnership, customers will not only be able to top up their M-Tag accounts through FWO’s mobile app ‘Smart Motorways’ and their official website, but also through their JazzCash mobile accounts and through the extensive JazzCash retailer network nationwide, the account can be recharged through Rs 200, Rs 500, Rs 1000, Rs 2000 and Rs 3000 scratch cards as well.. There are plans for integrating the JazzCash Payment gateway in the official app and the website as well.

Registration Procedure

M-tag registration for private vehicles will be free until March 31. Rs 300 of free balance will be given as well to the vehicles registered before this date as a starting reward. A free recharge of Rs 500 will also be provided after every 5000 kilometers of travel. Dedicated registration desks and customer care centers have been set up at several toll plaza booths where you can get the M-tag.

A minimum fee of Rs 300 is required to get the tag; however, the whole amount is deposited as credit in vehicle owner’s M-tag account. The vehicle owner must an original possess CNIC, driving license and valid vehicle registration documents at the time of registration.

Initially, the system will be deployed at Lahore-Islamabad motorway Interchanges. In later stages, it will expand to all motorways in Pakistan as part of the CPEC 1-link motorways project. Vehicles entering the motorway without M-tag will be fined Rs 300 after the deadline of 31st March.

The National Stadium of Karachi have a limited capacity of housing 34,228 spectators but the PSL Final celebrations were witnessed in all over the city.

Islamabad United defeated Peshawar Zalmi in 16.5 overs. The batsman of Islamabad United Luke Ronchi made 52 runs in 26 balls. The New Zealand palyer Luke Ronchi gave a strong opening partnership with Sahibziada Farhan. Farhan made 33 runs in 44 balls. Luke Ronchi was made a huge psychological impact on Peshawar Zalmi from the start of the match.

The defending Champion Peshawar took Islamabad United under pressure by taking important wickets in the middle overs of match, but when Kamran Akmal dropped the catch of Asif Ali the whole match turned towards the victory of Islamabad United.

FBR SBP Online Tax Duties Collection System Launched in Pakistan

FBR SBP Online Tax Duties Collection System Update:

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Tuesday (20-03-2018) launched an online tax collection system, allowing taxpayers to pay taxes and duties using internet banking accounts or ATMs, without the hassle of visiting bank branches. FBR SBP Online Tax Duties Collection System.

The online tax collection system is live now and the taxpayers can pay their federal taxes including income tax, sales tax, customs duty and federal excise duty through alternative delivery channels — ATM, online banking, phone banking and contact centres — at any time seven days a week. FBR SBP Online Tax Duties Collection System.

The system was launched by Haroon Akhtar, Special Advisor to Prime Minister on Revenue in a simple ceremony held at FBR House Islamabad on Tuesday. He said that the online collection system provides much needed relief and convenience to the tax payers and expressed optimism that the business community will take full advantage of the system and pay bulk of their taxes and duties using the online facility. He said as the system provides end to end solution right from filing of the tax return to payment of taxes to recording in government books of accounts and thus will bring efficiency, safety and transparency in Government tax collection system. He added that the system will also be instrumental in improving Pakistan’s ranking in the World Bank’s ease of doing business index.
Launching online systems is the part of Pakistan’s digital strategy, which stresses the need to adopt technology at all governmental and corporate levels that could bring ease of doing business in Pakistan.

Earlier Pakistan has launched an online system for company registration in which made the company registration process hassle-free, as a result, thousands of new companies were registered in Pakistan during the month of February 2018 alone.

How The System Works

The system is online end-to-end, from the generation of payment slip to submission and filing of returns, everything will be done online. Here is how it will go;

• Users can generate Payment Slip ID (PSID) by filling their tax and customs details on FBR (IRIS) and Customs (WeBOC).
• This slip will then be used to access the tax payment details through any ATM or banks’ internet banking.
• The taxpayer will then transfer the due amount to the designated government account. A specified agent can transfer the money on taxpayer’s behalf as well.

FBR has been added as a biller on banks’ payment pages, and taxpayers can visit the FBR page to generate payment slips.
FBR chairman told that held goods will be released immediately after importers pay their taxes and customs duties.

The government of Sindh has announced a special shuttle bus service for PSL Final Karachi for the public at various points in the city. Chief Minister Sindh has approved the decision to run shuttle bus service in Karachi for the Final Match of PSL 3, during the meeting concerned department’s official briefed about the plans for PSL Final Match at the national stadium of Karachi where he appreciated the bus service idea and approved it. PSL 3 Final Karachi Free Shuttle Service.

According to the details provide by ARY, the shuttle bus service will be available for the public at 47 different points in the city of Karachi coupled with 300 buses running on the routes defined. He ensured that Sindh government would take necessary measures to facilitate the public during the PSL final in Karachi. He also urged authorities to clean the roads and ensure smooth transport arrangements to reach the stadium.

However, he sought cooperation from the public for smooth holding of this event. He also requested the media to support the government’s efforts in this regard. Organizing the PSL in Karachi would contribute to projecting soft image of Pakistan, especially of Karachi.

He thanked Chairman, Pakistan Sports Boards, Najam Sethi for organizing the PSL final match in Karachi and hoped that he (Sethi) would continue to hold international cricket events in Karachi.
The Minister also informed that at the end of the match, a musical programme would start there for the spectators so that the players could departure from the stadium smoothly and safely.

On 19th March 2018 the traffic plan for the PSL 3 final to be held in Karachi was unveiled by police officials and the Sindh information minister on Monday.

According to the plan, details of which were disclosed during a press conference earlier today, the routes leading to and from Hassan Square and New Town would be closed for traffic on the March 25th 2018.

A shuttle service will be operative to ensure ticket-holders reach the stadium.

A total of 1600 traffic police officers will be deployed across the metropolis to assist commuters in avoiding traffic jams and other hurdles.

Three spaces, on the University Road, have been reserved for the shuttle service. An empty ground near the Urdu University will be used as the parking area for the shuttle service.

On the day of the match, citizens will not be allowed to travel on foot. Only ticket-holders will be allowed to bring their vehicles into the parking area.

The PSL 2018 final will be held at the National Stadium Karachi. Strict security measures are in place in order to avoid any possible security breach.

Viewers of District South, City, West & Korangi coming via Shara-e-Faisal shall proceed upto Shara-e-Quaideen, Allah Wali Chowrangi, Society Light Signal, right turn to Kashmir Road to Park their vehicles / Motorcycles at above mentioned places from where they will be transported upto Fatima linnah College opposite Agha Khan Hospital Gate No.3 by Shuttle Bus.

DIVERSIONS

Karsaz

All type of Traffic coming from Nursary will not be allowed to proceed National Stadium via Habib Ibrahim Rehmatullah Road. These vehicles will be diverted towards Drigh Road Shara-e-Faisal, left turn Rashid Minhas Road. Millinium to NIPA. Similarly all type of Traffic coming from Airport side will not be allowed to proceed towards Karsaz, they shall use Drigh Road Shara-e-Faisal, right turn Rashid Minhas Road, Millinium to NIPA or Drigh Road, Karsaz , Nursary etc.
Millinium

All type of Traffic coming from Rashid Minhas Road (both sides) is prohibited to proceed towards Stadium via Dalmia Road. These vehicles will be diverted as under:

i) From NIPA side towards Drig Road , Shara-e-Faisal.
ii) From Shara-e-Faisal towards NIPA.

NIPA

All kind of Traffic shall not be permitted to proceed NIPA to PP Chowrangi. These vehicles will be diverted from Safora, NIPA, left turn Rashid Minhas Road, Drigh Road to Shara-e-Faisal or NIPA, University Road, U' turn under Nipa Bridge again University Road, left turn, Gulshan Chowrangi to Sohrab Goth.

PP Chowrangi

All kind of Traffic shall not be permitted to proceed PP Chowrangi to NIPA. These vehicles will be diverted from Shara-e-Quaideen to Mazar-e-Quaid or Khudada colony Flyover ramp, left turn to Saddar. Similar, Guru Mandir Chowrangi, PP Chowrangi, right turn towards Saddar or PP Chowrangi to Aysha Aziz Chowrangi, right turn Shara-e-Quaideen.

Aysha Aziz Chowrangi

All kind of Traffic shall not be permitted to proceed Kashmir Road from Aysha Aziz Chowrangi upto Jail Flyover. These vehicles will be diverted from Shara-e-Quaideen to Mazar-e-Quaid or Khudada colony Flyover ramp, left turn to Saddar. Similarly Guru Mandir Chowrangi, PP Chowrangi, right turn towards Saddar or PP Chowrangi to Aysha Aziz Chowrangi, right turn Shara-e•Quaideen.

Jail Flyover

Jail Flyover at Shaheed-e-Millat Road will also be functional for vehicular Traffic but the down ramp towards New Town ps / Hassan Squire will completely be closed.

Jail Road turning towards University Road

All kind of Traffic coming from Teen Hatti or Jamshed Road shall not be Permitted to proceed towards University Road. These vehicles will be diverted from the main gate of central jail back towards larnshed Road or teen hatti.

Liaquatabad No.10

All kind of Traffic at Sir Shah Suleman Road shall not be permitted to proceed Liaquatabad No.10 upto National Stadium These vehicles will be diverted from the Liaquatabad No.10, left turn to Karimabad, Aysha Manzil or right turn Dak Khana, Teen Hatti.

NOTE: 

All commuters can use Lyari Express Way both sides from Mtrza Adam Khan Chowk, maunpur Road upto Sohrab Got.

Heavy Traffic

All the heavy vehicles shall not be permitted to proceed from Sohrab Goth to NIPA, Liaquatabad No.10 to Hassan Square, PP Chowrangi towards University Road.

Nuclear Fallout Shelter

In a nuclear attack your only survival option is strong and safe nuclear fallout shelter. The best fallout shelters are those which are below 10 Ft. from the ground, in the form of crypt. You can build the fallout shelter on ground but it cannot save you from nuclear radiations completely.

Important Goods for Fallout Shelter

You have to store usable goods in your fallout shelter at all times for minimum three weeks. The details of usable goods for your fallout shelter are as follows:

• Tin pack food without meat. You can use vegetables, fruits etc. etc. to prevent yourself from food poisoning problems.
• Distilled or mineral water.
• Water tank for washroom or for taking bath.
• One radio communication equipment for communication  because your cell phone will become out of order after first nuclear radiation. Therefore don't rely on your cell phone.

• Books for reading which helps you in relaxing from underground boring environment.
• First Aid Box.
• Medicines for fever, head ache, loose motion and sleeping pills etc. etc.

Eat potassium iodide pills on the first day of nuclear blast. Potassium septic anti septic spray. The first rule after surviving from nuclear attack is the presence of your mind.

Don't panic and control your nerves. You will heard a powerful blast within a second and promptly you will see a very very high mushroom type smoke cloud. This a sign of nuclear attacks.

Struggle for Survival

There are three stages of nuclear attack disaster.

1. Extreme Blast,
2. Nuclear Fallout,
3. Radiation Strom

If the atomic war head dropped within the radius of one and a half or two miles from your location, then recite Kalma-e-Taiyba quickly and if you are sitting than stand up because in next three seconds your body will be evaporated. You will safe if your location is two miles away from nuclear attack location. When you heard first explosion of nuclear attack you have maximum 5 seconds. Run opposite direction from nuclear attack location and reach any solid thing, wall or deep place and lie down on your stomach. Put your hands on your head in such a way that you cover your ears, and cross your legs. In the mean time you will heard another blast which will be 100 times powerful from first one. It will create tremor or earthquake. Congratulations you survive from initial blasts. Run after 3 seconds of second nuclear blast towards your shelter.

Nuclear Fallout

Dozens of buildings which fly after first nuclear blast, it will fall on the ground just like rain falls and simultaneously rain of alpha particles fill with radiations will start. Don't look towards nuclear blast. Save yourself from the building materials and alpha particles rain during nuclear fallout. If you reach at your shelter than thumbs up for you because you secure yourself from nuclear fallout. After entering at your fallout shelter put off your clothes without delaying because your clothes sucks alpha particles in big quantity. If you are injured than take first aid but if you safe from injuries than take bath so you can save yourself from remaining effects of nuclear fallout.

Now outside your nuclear fallout shelter there will be a radiation storm every where and you have to live several days inside your fallout shelter. Don't eat too much inside your shelter. Try to spend your time in sleeping, listen radio and be informed from outside world. Be patient and control on your nerves and don't be panic, because after few days you will be fell in radio active sickness and you will face high fever, suffocation and vomiting. Use medicines which you stocked in your shelter.
After 5 to 6 days rescue teams and army battalions will reach to your area, listen radio time to time and when you have confirmation that rescue work starts in your location than comes out from your shelter and contact to the nearest rescue camp, so you can quit from nuclear radiation area. If rescue team don't reach in your area, than you have to come out from your shelter after twenty days, because nuclear radiation storm will be stopped.

After coming out from your nuclear fallout shelter you will feel that you are the only one in millions who survive in this blast. Now leave your area as soon as possible.
